Overview
Netlings seeks an enthusiastic and hands-on full time Web Front-End Developer / UI Developer. You have strong strong passion for the web and whose curiosity keeps you up-to-date on the latest web standards and best practices. You will be responsible for providing solid XHTML/CSS and Javascripts markup code, troubleshooting crossbrowser issues, quality checking
and/or managing current UI development team.

Your responsibilities will include:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Taking PSD documents and hand coding it into an efficient, standard based XHTML/CSS site.
- Implementing any Javascript (JQuery)

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle the web frontend team of 4-5 developers.
- Provide necessary instructions to developers to kick start a new project.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting and debugging assistance to developers during development.
- Quality check the project before final delivery to the client.
- Assist in an CMS integration

Experience

Skills
REQUIRED:
- Expert hands-on knowledge of HTML, XHTML,CSS, Javascript (JQuery)
- Adherence to web standards and semantic coding
- Experience translating PSDs/layered pngs into well structured, tabless XHTML/CSS markup
- Knowledge of developing cross platform/browser compatible XHTML/CSS markup
- Graphic and layout sensibility and comfortable working with Photoshop
- Excellent problem solving/debugging skills
- Strong communication skills both written and oral

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL:
- Ability and willingness to lead the team of 4-5 frontend developers.
- Understanding of any web programming languages/platforms like PHP, RoR etc
- Familiarity/working knowledge of CMSs like Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal
- Familiarity with SEO strategies
- Familiarity with Linux, Mac and working knowledge of protocols like FTP, SSH for website deployment

Education
Graduate, preferably in IT, BCA, MCA, BTech
