Overview:
The Performance Test Engineer will be responsible for development and implementation of

Polaris Wireless Proprietary 4

automated performance testing solutions and services used for systematically testing software across all product lines and platforms. As a member of the QA team, he/she will work collaboratively with members from all departments to create and conduct tests to quantify and improve various performance characteristics.

Your responsibilities will include:
Overview of Responsibilities of the Performance Test Engineer :

1. Designs and develops performance testing automation artifacts (scripts, functions, scenarios, processes) for simple to complex testing situations using various tools 2. Collects, organizes, and analyzes statistical information from a variety of sources to support high-quality test design and Configures, executes, monitors, and troubleshoots performance tests in a variety of situations and conditions. 3. Analyzes statistical results for baselines, trends, and anomalies to facilitate problem solving, performance improvements, and reporting. Contributes ideas and recommends action based on that analysis. 4. Manages performance testing artifacts to ensure proper versioning, backups, organization and retention and Maintains test lab hardware and software. 5. Responsible for following quality assurance, and performance testing methodologies, processes, best practices and techniques and helps define and establish new methodologies, processes, and best practices particularly around performance testing and contributes both ideas and effort toward continuous improvement.

Experience
5+ Years of technical testing or software development experience with recent experience involving performance testing or performance engineering. * Strong Knowledge of performance test automation tools and effective implementation techniques. * Familiarity with Network technologies and layered architectures and relational databases.

Skills
3+ years of advanced knowledge/experience with design and development of performance tests using any third party tools like Load Runner or JMetre * 3+ years of Experience with deploying/maintaining server applications. Strong knowledge of Telecom applications. * 3+ years of Experience with configuring server technologies and operating systems -Windows, LINUX, UNIX, VMware, Cache * Familiarity with other performance/automation tools (i.e. FITnesse, JMeter) * Experience and competency with a programming languages particularly Perl, Python or C++.

Education
Education: BSEE, BSCS, or equivalent work experience
