Job Description
Software development and customer issue resolution on enterprise class disk based backup
appliance.
Software engineering support for a major OEM customer of the Quantum disk based
products.
Analyze customer issues and find resolutions related to code or environment
Develop code to fix existing software defects.
Work directly with a major OEM customer engineers and Quantum development
engineering to develop tactical solutions for customer issues.
Work on new releases of our enterprise and workgroup disk based products
Periodic after hours on-call for customer issues
Desired Candidate Profile
Strong development experience in C, C++.
BE / BTECH / ME / MTECH from good institutes.
Experience in Perl, shell, and other scripting tools
Experience with Linux OS/kernels
Experience with debugging tools such as GDB Experience in customer facing engineering
Knowledge of HTTP and GUIs
Knowledge of source control and shared build environments
Experience in RAID, VTL, NAS, backup applications, Fibre Channel, SCSI and other storage
technologies highly desirable
Strong spoken and written English
EXPERIENCE : 3 to 8 years
