Pratap Bose Quits O&M And All Set To Join Mudra

June 11th, 2008

Pratap Bose, CEO, Ogilvy & Mather India, has moved on. Bose reveals that he is all set to join Mudra as its Chief Operating Officer. Bose had been with Ogilvy for the last 15 years, in varying capacities including heading its outdoor function for the longest time before taking over as CEO.

Commenting on his decision Bose says,

“I have enjoyed every moment at Ogilvy but the time has come to pursue my passions and ambitions.” At Mudra, Bose wishes to get a stronghold on non-traditional advertising media vehicles, including retail, digital, new media and brand activation. “I have been part of a leader brand for a long time; now it’s time to move onto a challenger one and turn it around.”

Bose took on the role of CEO at Ogilvy in 2006 – he was the youngest CEO in the agency – replacing John Goodman, who moved to head O&M Japan. Prior to that, he was president of Ogilvy Activation and managing director, South Asia, at Kinetic.

Bose’s move marks a restructuring at the Mudra Group. The restructuring will serve two purposes: to help further the group’s communications planning agenda and to create greater value in its marketing communications specialist businesses. Bose will focus on Mudra’s media and marketing services offerings and lead the group’s forays (including acquisitions and alliances) into rural marketing, public relations, events, sports and retail marketing.
